BACRE INC. is a California corporation. We acquire real property, build on it with our own crews and our own components, and manage what we keep.
Our Story
Started with a problem worth solving.
BACRE INC. was formed to answer a question most of the industry avoids: what would a real estate company look like if it were built, from the first acquisition, to keep people housed?
The answer turned out to be less idealistic than it sounds. Stable tenants, program-backed rent, well-maintained buildings, and patient long-term holds are exactly what a durable portfolio is made of. The mission and the underwriting point the same way.
The divisions came from the same arithmetic. Paying a general contractor's margin on every rehabilitation, and a supplier's margin on every wall, is how an affordable housing strategy quietly becomes an unaffordable one. So we built the crews, and then we built the shop that supplies them.

What We Believe
Four commitments we do not trade away.
Housing is infrastructure.
A stable address is what makes a job, a school year, a recovery, or a family possible. We treat the units we own as something people build their lives on, because that is what they are.
The numbers decide.
Conviction does not override underwriting. Every acquisition and every build is modeled on real costs — and we walk away from the ones that do not work.
Own it, don't flip it.
We are buyers and holders. Long-term ownership is what compounds equity, stabilizes neighborhoods, and lets a tenant plan past next year's lease.
Leave the property better.
Every building we take on should be safer, more efficient, and more useful when we are done than when we found it. That standard does not change based on who holds the lease.

DeAndre Knight founded BACRE INC. to build a real estate company that creates ownership and housing at the same time. He leads acquisition strategy, underwriting, and the company's housing partnerships across all four divisions.
Where We Operate
California, and where the numbers take us.
Our home base is California, and we actively evaluate acquisitions in secondary and rural markets where price-to-rent ratios, land availability, and program participation make the math work.
We are equally interested in improved multi-unit property and in raw acreage — the first for immediate cash flow, the second for what the build divisions can put on it.
